<p>Toigo war im <a href="Querfeldeinrennen" class="mw-redirect" title="Querfeldeinrennen">Querfeldeinrennen</a> (heutige Bezeichnung Cyclocross) aktiv. Von 1949 bis 1950 war er <a href="Profisport" title="Profisport">Berufsfahrer</a>. In der nationalen Meisterschaft im Querfeldeinrennen gewann er 1949 und 1950 den Titel. 1952 wurde er Vize-Meister. Meisterschaftsdritter wurde er 1951. Bei den <a href="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften" title="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften">Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften</a> belegte er <a href="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften_1950" title="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften 1950">1950</a> den 7. Platz, <a href="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften_1951" title="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften 1951">1951</a> den 12. Platz, <a href="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften_1952" title="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften 1952">1952</a> den 5. Platz und <a href="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften_1953" title="Cyclocross-Weltmeisterschaften 1953">1953</a> den 25. Platz.
